489 Families on the Road Again!


Thanks to your support, Wheels of Success has distributed 239 vehicles to families in need and has assisted 250 families with vehicle-related services. We appreciate vehicle donations, financial contributions, silent auction items and volunteers all year long! You are especially appreciated by recipients such as Chris Thompson.

Chris was truly grateful to be re-united with his 12-year-old son but lamented what his transportation limitations stole from their lives before they received a 1994 Ford Escort from WOS. “I believe in Wheels of Success and what it does,” he says. “Our quality of life has changed drastically. I actually cried over the phone when I learned that we would be getting a car.” Learn how Wheels of Success impoved quality of life for this father and son.
 

Tampa Bay Business Journal 2009 Nonprofit of the Year Nominees Announced

Wheels of Success has been selected as a finalist for the TBBJ’s 2009 Nonprofit of the Year Awards sponsored by HUMANA. We will be honored for the work we have done for the community – with your help – at a luncheon to be held on June 18th.

All finalists will be featured in the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2009 Nonprofit of the Year special section to be published on June 19th.  One of the six award categories, Public & Societal Benefit, places our little farm team on the playing field with seven big league nonprofits in whose company we are honored to find ourselves.

These awards recognize Tampa Bay-based 501(c)(3), non-foundation community organizations benefiting residents of Greater Tampa Bay who are fiscally responsible and accountable with regard to program outcomes. One of nearly100 nonprofit organizations nominated for the 2009 Nonprofit of the Year Awards, Wheels of Success was chosen as a finalist based on our fiscal responsibility, management, mission, programming and impact in the community.
 
 Make a Difference

Wheels of Success does more than give out cars. We help with car repairs, tag/title/insurance, car payments and down payments. Any donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference. $35 transfers a title; $50 buys two tires or batteries. Please consider making an online donation or donating your vehicle to help another family stay on the road.
