Meet our new Penguins!

A promenade of penguins has been seen in the lobby of The Florida Aquarium! They have waddled their way into our home and will waddle their way into your hearts.

We are very proud to announce the addition of two adorable African Penguins to the wonderful selection of aquatic birds here at the Aquarium. We also need your help! These siblings need names and we are looking to you for suggestions. Starting on July 31, 2006, go to our website at www.flaquarium.org and click on the ‘Name the Penguin Contest’ link. Vote on your favorite pair of names for our penguins. The contest will end on September 3, 2006 and announced on our website by September 5, 2006.

The brother and sister dynamic duo can be seen daily at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the lobby. There will be plenty of photo opportunities and a chance for guests to meet them face-to-face!

   Bring the kids and immerse yourself in this fun FREE evening just for members.

Going back to school can be rather hectic. So take a break and enjoy our exciting "members only night" at The Florida Aquarium. Explore A Shore will be open until 8:30 p.m. It's all free for members and $5 for each additional guest.

Come out and enjoy a day of golf with friends, family or co-workers at The Florida Aquarium’s Surf & Turf Golf Classic. There will be a continental breakfast, and a post-tournament awards luncheon and reception. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Aquariums educational and veterinary programs.

Nauti-Night

8:00 p.m. to midnight

Gather your friends, don your disguises and dare to enter the haunted Aquarium for a frighteningly fun time. There will be live entertainment, a costume contest with a $1,000 prize, food and open bar. Halloween costumes are encouraged. Appropriate attire required, Adults 21 and older only.

Come and trick or trick with your Aquarium friends at 20 locations throughout the haunted Aquarium and in Explore A Shore. There will be fun games, prizes and spooky ghosts and goblins.  Kids in costume free, adults 12 and up $10.
